Dear all and FSDT team,
**MSFS**.I really enjoy using GSX but recently after updating to 2.7.9 (just few hours ago and no change log available - it’s that new!), my couatl/GSX always crashes upon loading into any airport, regardless of aircraft.
It asks if I wanna restart Couatl. ‘Says unknown add on causing it’
It just constantly crashes and is unusable…the error log isn’t helpful either. I tried ‘checking’ the files in the universal installer and also using live update again to just check things over.
2.7.9 is a new version so not sure if something broke with the update.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Dan

Seeing the same thing. 2.7.9 is latest update and no release notes. GSX is constantly crashing on start indicating that an unknown addon is the cause
-
Same with me, any airport all addons turned off.
-
Same here.
here is the log of the error - just updated to 2.7.9. HELP!!!

You shouldn't update before the release notes are out because that's an indication the upload is still in progress. Try again later.
-
And why do you publish it if you are not done? ;)
Sorry had to ask, but learned my lesson.

updated from 2.6.9 to 2.7.9 and all hell broke lose

And why do you publish it if you are not done? ;)
You don't understand we **are** done but, the very act of uploading it takes time and in this case, when there are several new operators added, it will take longer than usual, because each new operator adds hundreds of new files (counting MSFS, P3D and FSX variants) which must be individually uploaded and purged from Cloudflare cache and while this is happening, you can get a mixup of old/new files if you update as soon as you see the new version changing.
So, since several updates ago, we used the convention of not releasing release notes before the upload is completed, as a "signal" that is still not safe to update.

Thank you for the explanation, much appreciated.
Good to know for the future.

Ok - I didn't download this most recent update until after release notes were already available and I'm also having crashes.

Ok - I didn't download this most recent update until after release notes were already available and I'm also having crashes.
Because this specific crash was fixed *after* we released the release notes. If you run the update again, it will be fixed. That doesn't make the suggestion to wait for the release notes before updating less valid, for any other issues.
