After the update to 2.7.6 Couatl keeps showing the Loading screen in the sim. Nothing happens further.
When looking in Task Manager the Couatl64 application is started and running under the Flightsimulator tree.
I have to end that Couatl process and then restart it manually with Explorer and then the utility functions as normal again.
What could i do to get this working again in the intended way?

I can confirm I have the same issue following the update to the latest version... Seems broken.
-
Same here.
Tried restarting etc etc, but does not work!
Richard
-
Have tried unlinking and relinking- still the same! Just getting loading message.
Richard
-
I have also tried the live update app as well as the normal installer app. Still not working!
I can also assure you that nothing has changed on my PC or my msfs setup since last successful flights using fenix except updating gsx

The silence is deafening here. :))

After updating to SU13 GSX is functional again.
-
Same. Stuck loading.
Edit: restarting couatl after the sim is up and running fixes it. but I have to do this every time...
-
Please confirm this has been fixed with SU13.
-
Not fixed it for me personally after SU13,GSX is still stuck on the loading screen.

SU13, issue remains.

I can't replicate the issue. Are you still having the error you are already discussing on another thread which you said it's fixed by restarting after the sim started, or you are now having two issues at the same time ? If the error is the same, then please post only in one thread about it.

I have both issues.
This one here (infinite loading in gsx window) occurs every time I start the sim. Then restarting Couatl fixes GSX for that session.
The error message described in the other thread (different issue) occurs approx. 3 out of 5 sim starts and also gets taken care of when I restart Coual.
So basically, right now, it does appear as if Couatl somehow dose not start properly with the sim, but will work fine if I restart it after the sim is up.

same issue after SU13 update and new version of GSX.

same issue after SU13 update and new version of GSX.
Please clarify if with "same issue", you mean just the menu stuck on loading, which has been confirmed by another user to be fixed by SU13, or something else, like an error message on start.
And, please provide your startup log according to the threat named "Couatl engine hasn't started - How to report a problem":
https://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26759.0.html
With the error log produced by following the instructions in that thread.

I have the same Issue (Menu keeps Loading) with 2.7.6 - both in SU12 and SU13.
Need to restart Couatl to make it work again.
(So when it crashes occasionally on Sim-Start and is restarted, the Menu works directly)
I'm currently experimenting with letting Couatl auto-start through FSUIPC (so it is loaded at a later Point). Could only do one quick Test, but looks like a Workaround.
-
For completeness, the Addons in the exe.xml (same order):
- FS2Crew Command Center
- FS2Crew RAAS Pro MSFS
- Couatl
- FenixA320
- FSUIPC7
(state before I removed Couatl there to Auto-Start it through FSUIPC)
-
I have just updated the sim and problem remains. Ever circling loading message in menu. Not helped by restarting countless

For me the issue is fully repeatable. Sim is updated to SU13 (no issues). Couatl starts automatically (as usual) and is seen in the systray - in sim GSX menu just spins and does not load. I exit Couatl, wait a bit and then restart it. It again appears on the systray, however at this point when GSX menu is selected in the sim, it appears (showing the loading spin) and then immediatly disappears. very strange. SU13, GSX 2.7.6, FSUIPC 7.3.21
I'll keep trying.
-
I agree to having the same issue.
The Couatl loads as it should at start of fight, but GSX menu just spins (loading) I close Couatl and reload it and all works fine.
MS2020 up to date to SU13 and GSX on 2.7.6
regards
Doug

Once again, I reiterate my earlier post, since the arrival of the latest update, GSX goes into a never-ending loop loading the facilities, etc, until such time as one uses the icon in the taskbar to restart GSX and then the problem is solved and GSX loads normally.

When you have FSUIPC (btw the Version is out-dated) you can start GSX via FSUIPC - works fine more as a Workaround!
Add this to your FSUIPC7.ini
[Programs]
RunIf1=READY,KILL,X:\PATH\TO\Addon Manager\couatl64\couatl64_MSFS.exe
Make sure you only have one [Programs] Section in your File. Also make sure the Number after RunIf is unique if you already have Entries there.
Obviously change the Path (and ensure it is correct) ;)

I have updated to SU13, updated to latest version of GSX Pro, and still have the GSX stuck on loading until I restart Coautl with the icon in the task manager.I also tried downloading the latest add manager and ran that. Did not fix. Saw a beta version but undocumented, so did not try that download version of the add on manager.I downloaded the most recent addon manager not in beta.
In addition I get the error message uploaded below. I am using the MS store version of MSFS 2020.
-
Update: Installed the beta version Add on manager recompiled for SU13 and issue remains unchanged.

The error you posted in your screenshot doesn't have anything to do with this issue, it's caused by having the wrong path for the logfile in the Couatl_MSFS.ini and it's not even an error, it's a warning saying the program will log to its default folder instead of the one you specified, because the one you specified can't be accessed, and can be fixed by removing the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl_MSFS.INI file so a new correct one will be created from scratch.
About the other error on startup, we are working on a fix right now, the Beta Offline installer fixed some things related to SU13, but not this so, it will be fixed by the official 2.7.7 release.
-
I've exaclty the same problem. Only thing that helps is restarting couatl.
-
I'm sorry to say, that the Eternal Loading error has returned on my setup. Just after updating to SU13 it worked fine for a session of 3 or 4. But now every new session GSX has to re-started again.
-
As I've said:

After using FSDT Universal Installer to update GSX to version 2.7.6 the menu will not load. Couatl is showing in the system tray. Normally this is resolved by restarting couatl, however this is no longer the case. This problem started before updating to MSFS sim update 13. The problem still exists after updating to su13. Numerous attempts to restart couatl have done nothing. Gsx was working fine with 2.7.5, and the only thing that i did was update gsx. Now it is broken. I tried unlinking and relinking gsx, and nothing changed. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling gsx using the universal installer and the problem is still the same. Log file attached.
-
The problem should be fixed in the official 2.7.7 we just released now.

Confirming that deleting the .ini file fixed the warning message and that with update today GSX starts fine. Thanks for fast fix.
-
I can also confirm, issue is gone with the latest update. Thanks!
I have to correct myself, issue is back unfortunately...

I can only repeat and confirm the issue is fixed in 2.7.7, but you must run the Live Update of the updated Offline installer, it wasn't fixed in the 2.7.7 Beta.
-
Yep, after installing 2.7.7 no more eternal loading screen. Great.
