Most likely the antivirus, that must have blocked the installation of the latest installer, which downloads the operator thumbnails as part of the update.

- Configure the antivirus to add the whole Addon Manager folder to the EXCLUSIONS

- Run the FSDT Installer again, and choose Update

- If that doesn't work, try to install the OFFLINE installer here, then start the Installer again, and do another Update Check. Pay attention to the update process, and see if the operator Thumbnails are being downloaded.

Don't use any antivirus whatsoever, neither windows one.
Which offline installer?

You cannot disable the Windows Defender antivirus. Even if you think it's "disabled", it really isn't, because its service is still running. That's why we never suggest to "disable" the antivirus (precisely for this reason) but, instead, configure it to add the Addon Manager folder to its EXCLUSION so, please, do that first.

Really, Umberto? Well, you can do it. At least I managed to do it. Using the following instructions:

My comment was obviously related to just turn off the real protection, which the normal way any user would expect to disable an antivirus. If the OP used that very specific method to do that, it would said so, but he hasn't, so I made the proper reply that normally, you can't disable Windows Defender.

And even if he did, that doesnì't 100% guarantee the antivirus is totally disabled. Instead, MY suggested method of EXCLUDING the Addon Manager folder WILL guarantee it will never interfere *there* REGARDLESS which condition to the antivirus is, which is why IS the correct solution that won't require any convoluted and potentially dangerous methods like the one you suggested.
