hello!
Yesterday I went ahead and bought GSX as I absolutely loved the add-on when I used to flight sim in 2019. After completing the download I jumped onto the game excited to get a flight underway with GSX Pro and it was not there. during the download I didn't change anything I let it do it all as I assume I should.
I uninstalled and re installed and still no luck? I'm gutted and hope to find a solution here.
Im using the steam version, on External Hard drive and is formatted NTFS.
Thank you in advance! :D

Please clarify what it's "not there":
- The toolbar menu is there, but doesn't open ?
OR
- There's no GSX toolbar menu at all ?

No toolbar menu at all, sorry I didn't clarify that.

Is GSX reported as Installed in the FSDT Installer ?

Yeah

Where you installed FSDT ?

Where you installed FSDT ?
well this is the bit I didn't understand? as it selected all its own location? so its on my C drive in add-on manager?
-
Yes, I asked where you installed FSDT, normally the default location is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager, but you are allowed to change it the first time you install it, so I asked, to know if you accepted the default or change it, and if you changed it, where.

Yep didn’t change it, that’s where it is, I accepted default location

Try to reset your Toolbar menu, with the last icon (the one with a wheel)

Unfortunately didn’t work, anything else in game I can try in game maybe?

Just to be sure: you do have the two GSX packages in the Community folder, as Shortcuts instead of real folders (this is how they are supposed to be) ?

Oh no I don’t! I have nothing in my community folder!😟

Nothing related to GSX is in my community folder! What’s meant to be in there 🤔

Then it's not possible the GSX Installer would report GSX as Installed, which was my first question. Are you sure it says "Installed" (in green) and not, maybe, "Install" (in white), which means it's not installed yet ? Or, maybe, it's saying "Relink" ?
To sum it up:
- If the product is installed in the Addon Manager folder and it's linked to the Community folder, it will report as "Installed" in green. This is the normal situation.
- If the product is installed in the Addon Manager folder but it's not linked to the Community folder, it will report as "Relink", meaning you can re-enable it without reinstalling it.
- If the product is not installed at all, it will read "Install" (in white), meaning it's not there, not in the Addon Manager folder and it's not linked to the Community folder.

It says Active in green and Re-link in red… when I press re link nothing happens?

Alright, now it checks out. I asked if it was reported as Installed, you must have confused the Installation status with the license Activation status, which are two completely different things. As I suspected, it shows Relink, and the most common case of a failure to link is having the Community folder on a drive not formatted using the native Windows filesystem, that is NTFS, which is required to support Symbolic links. More information was in the Sticky thread here:

I stated this in my first post on the thread, my External Hard-drive is NTFS formatted

Is there anything I can do to get it to work? I really really want GSX to work? Is there specific files I can move etc etc?
My External Hard drive is showing Default format as NTFS, is there any other issues know to cause the re link not to work that I can try? :(
