Title: New user - profile question

New GSX user here. I'm confused about how profiles work and hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Do I need to search for and download a custom profile for every plane I fly in order to use it? For example I see there's a CRJ profile at https://fr.flightsim.to/file/40141/gsx-profile-crj-700-aerosoft

Is this required to use the product? If not, then what benefits does it provide?

Of course, even if an airplane is already supported internally, it doesn't mean it cannot be further configured, so you can still find custom profiles, even for planes already supported.
