I'll be honest, it is hard to watch because it is so incredibly laggy and jumpy.  It is nice but the visual quality just isn't there.

Also too long... no need to video the entire flight.   ;)

I edited the video, but as for being chopped and screwed is a bit over the top ::) :)

By putting it in a public forum, you're asking people to watch and comment.  If you're going to take the comments as criticism against you and not the video, then you shouldn't be posting the video.

Which computer do you use for FSX?

Dell Inspiron 530s has Fsx Standard and The Dell 530 has FSX Gold,
BTW the 530s has the alot addons;payware and freeware while the 530 has a few payware and alot less freeware. I have FSDT addons on both. :)

Why the two.  Running a network for fsx...Home cockpit or something?

Neither one will run FSX well. ;)

Maybe sometime in the future I may build a home cockpit......  :-X

Maybe you and I have different definitions of the word "well".  I know because I have a computer better than yours that doesn't run it will unless I do major tweaking.

And based off your videos and screenshots, you are getting very low quality with low frame rates.

But hey, if it works for you and you are okay with it, then that is great. ;)

You may want to consider moving over to the 530 completely for FSX. It will get you better FSX performance, I think.

As I have said,I use both of them. However, their are different addons on both of them;the majority on Dell Inspiron 530s. Both computers can be upgraded to meet my needs in the future. :)

Lindbergh72, I know I have said before in a previous post but have no problem saying it again;Fsx standard is on the 530s with alot of addons, both sceneries and planes.I should add to the fact before I made upgrades to 530s,there was a limit to what I could do;but now I have sceneries that require FSX SP2 that I am glad to have......FSDT perhaps :) As for the Dell 530 I have FSX Gold and PMDG's 747-400X Queen of the Skies to name......yes I have two systems for a practical reason which at some time down the road I will build a home cockpit. As for the FPS,I have recently discovered that when set to unlimited and which ever plane I am flying at the time outside of an airport scenery,"the FPS has gone up tremdously". To be able to show what I said in the former sentence,I'll have to take a picture with the settings showing exactly the FPS at the time. "To note, I have'nt been able to use my Dell 530 lately because of video card problem and thus can't use FSX on that one anytime soon".

Ok...I remember this conversation..There is nothing wrong with have multi computers.  As do I have the same with the same project in mind.  However, freeware payware or not.  You need something better especially if you are posting videos and pics....Cause we all  know that the quality is a D-.  Not trying to do you dirty...You are still cool.  But your PC is hating on your frames. :)

All that is out the window when your videos come out "Chopped and Screwed".  Not to mention the pic quality....looking like the edge of a table saw.   :)

The first show is in the 20s at what appears to be a small airport, with little traffic, and clear skies.  And to boot, you have really poor settings.

Great would be 20-30s at KJFK with heavy traffic, thunderstorms, and high settings. ;)

Pup,

Basically what everyone is trying to say is that even at maximum performance, your computer(s) cannot run FSX very well.  I'm not even sure how well it can run FS9..  I use FS9 and mine looks 10x better than your FSX with my ASE, FS Global 2010, Birds Eye View, Ultimate Terrain, and REX..and even flying into the NYC area with FSDT's KJFK, Imagine Sim's KLGA and KEWR, Aerosoft's Manhattan, AND Mega Scenery, I still get 30+ FPS flying into it in payware aircraft with the aforementioned scenery and texture programs running.

But we're not criticizing you.  We're just saying if you save up and invest in a new system, you can get so much better results than what you're getting now..you probably can't even comprehend the difference..  But if you're happy with what you have then by all means stick with it!  Like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

You hit it right on the head, except.  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", SHIT it is broke!!!  :D  If you are going to subject your videos for us to watch then "by all means" fix it.  Computers are that one thing that you get what you pay for.  You try to get too cheap you get cheap results.  You need to put the shotgun to the PCs and get something worth displaying.  You still are a cool dude.  But all BS aside that computer is nothing to bragg about.....I too get great frames at JFK 40+ babe....all day!!!  So I will be looking foward to your new computer then the videos so you can get your James Camoron on in the flight sim world.  :)

LET me put this out and try to follow along: Intel Dual Core 2180 at 2 GHZ, OC at 2.985 GHZ 4GB RAM and a Geforce GT 9500 1024 RAM. If you can grasp all of that in a single context to start with; I can say for sure I'll be able to run FSX. :D

The processer is what kills it.  You should really have a Quad or i Core and then you'd have a great system for FSX.  But clearly, by your videos and screenshots, your system can barely handle it.  In fact, it seems as if FSX brings your PC to its knees.

I have to agree with Sir Issac.  That processor has to go right along with that graphics card.  Way outdated.  Settings all the way to the right or not you pics and video speak for itself.  Look at mine or someone elses and compare.  :)

I have put my settings all to the right

Why?  My system is comparable to yours, and I can't run them all maxed out.  In fact, a lot of my payware sceneries have specific slider recommendations for optimum results, and they are all in the mid range or slightly higher, none of them are on maximum.

I also have a copy of X-Plane, but I could never get comfortable flying with it for some reason, so I never use it.  Now, I consider that program to be the "dark side".  X-Plane... X-Wing...
