i started up mfs2020 and gatwick has the see through jetways and i went onto the installer and for some reason disabled 3rd party jetways but i have reversed that now and no airports are in the disabled section but the see through jetways are no longer visible
-
Have you exited the sim before doing that, and restart it after ?
-
yes i have done
-
Something's wrong, try this:
remove this folder:
\Addon Manager\MSFS\fsdreamteam-gsx-world-of-jetways_backup
and run an Update, it will restore all jetways.
-
i will give that a go and report back
-
still only brings up the standard jetways that come with the airport, whilst it was running the update it said excluding the jetways from egkk and lepa

That can only happen if you haven't removed the backfolder or, did that while the installer was still running.
I'm sorry, I should have been more clear: after you removed the backup folder, you must restart the installer, because it's not "monitoring" the folder while it's running, so it still thinks jetways should be disabled.
-
i have made sure the folder was deleted with no sim programs running and the jetways still haven't changed, would a fresh install of gsx help?

You haven't said if you did a Live Update after you did that. You should have noticed it should have redownloaded some files from the main jetways package, which contains the replacement jetways for all airports worldwide.
-
i deleted the folder and then did and update and then run the sim
-
Then you should have the jetways. If not uninstall/reinstall
-
no matter what i do it aint having none of it the see through jetways just won't come back and the 3rd party jetways are just dominant
-
right so all folders deleted and update run, i went onto the installer and into the config and no jetways disabled, i run the update in the installer and went back onto the config and the two mentioned airports are in the disabled box without me even selecting them

That can only mean you haven't removed the jetways backup folder, no question about it, it's the only place the installer looks for to know what's supposed to be disabled or not.
As I've said, any changes or removals must be done when the installer is not running.

i have been into the addon folder and removed the back up folder as requested then run live update and gone back into the sim and the jetways are still default 3rd party

This means your 3rd party scenery has got an higher priority than ours.
Scenery priorities in the Community folder are handled by alphabetical order, unless you rearrange the areas by editing the CONTENT.XML file to have the ones you want to obtain the highest priority to be listed *last* there.
This is not usually a problem when replacing jetways at default airport, which is what GSX has been DESIGNED to do: replace jetways at *default* airports, because packages in the Community will always be loaded *after* the one in Official, that is default airport.
The problem is you are trying to do something you are not supposed to, replacing jetways at a 3rd party button. There's a button there to PREVENT jetway replacement at 3rd party airport, because that's what you are normally supposed to do.
The problem is, even after you manage to sort out the loading order, and see our jetways on that scenery, they'll likely won't work, because their parking stands and positions are based on the DEFAULT parking stand name/numbers and positions, so they will look misplaced and likely won't work well. Nowhere we ever advertise GSX in MSFS can be used to replace jetways at 3rd party airports, we provided with a set of 917 .BGL files that have been made just for one purpose: replace jetways at default airports.

how do i go about say putting gsx in the first position in the xml?

Sure, you'll likely see jetways, but they would still have all the problems I indicated, because you were not supposed to replace jetways on a 3rd party airport, that's not what GSX is designed for.
