Title: Parking Brake
Post by: isobar on August 22, 2022, 10:45:05 pm
I keep getting the error to set parking brake even though it is already set. Flying the A330-900 from Headwind. Please advise?

I am getting the same error in the PMDG 737-700. Keeps asking me to release the parking brake which is set and the red light is on for the brake. I didn’t release the brake again, And keep getting the same message please release parking brake. This is very frustrating. I went to the PMDG forum and checks for the issue with the brake and I am doing it the correct way but GSX is not Recognizing that the brake has been released.

For the PMDG 737 check that the chocks are not set, GSX will ask for the parking brake off if it's that or the chocks.

As for the A330-900, from another post (http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26628.0.html (http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26628.0.html)), it seems that the issue raises in the fact that GSX doesn’t have the info/profile for that aircraft (and the LVFR A321). Like you I hope that this will be sorted out shortly.

I sure hope so as using GSX with the PMDG is not working.

If you mean the -600, we need to do a custom configuration for it. The -700 surely works.

Hi Umberto, any chance you could work on a custom profile for the A330-900 (Headwind based off FlyByWire) and the A321 (LVFR) as well?

As soon as the messages queue clears up, I might be able to check these things.

I'm having the same issue although the parking brakes with the chocks worked on the PMDG 700 for me but not working on the 800.

As already explained in other posts about the -800, it has been released TODAY, so it couldn't be possibly be supported before it came out. We'll release a proper GSX config for it later today.

Ok guy's, I Have Uploaded a Revised version of the A330 by Headwind, I have already gone ahead and got permissions from FBW to update the FBW System as well in this Aircraft, this is Headwinds Aircraft with Updated FBW System and my original fix.

The fix for the Parking Brakes has been added from my original post found here https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/getting-the-headwind-a330-ready-for-a-cargo-flight-gsx-pro-air-hauler/538297/17

I see someone else had made a fix using My instructions posted in that forum, that can be downloaded at Flightsim.to as well but only contains the files if you wish to download that.

Please Read the Known Issues Listed in the Description, Im not a Pro this fix is based on Trial and Error and I'm still working on finding a solution for the known Issues.

ENJOY Here's the link to my Upload https://flightsim.to/file/39374/revised-headwind-a320-updated-fbw-system-and-gsx-parking-brake-fix

Man, can you update the PMP A330-300 too with the recent FBW systems? I miss so much to fly this A333, the FBW compatitibility mod for this plane never got updated anymore  :-\

I'll see what I can do.

I have been trying to fix the Latin VFR A321 but oddly enough the Asobo A 320 neo has 21 non-folder files. However, all variants of the LVFR A321 only have 13 files and I can't find important ones like. aircraft, engines, systems and flight model cfg files in any of the 4 variants folders. I at a loss how this parking brake issue could be fixed.  I wish there was a way to just override the requirement in GSX.

So, you were asked to release the brakes.  You said you did not, and the brakes were still on with the light and everything.  After that you get upset that you were asked to RELEASE the brakes again.   I am going to go out on a limb here and say you need to RELEASE the brakes.

I’ve made an update, some files where not matching the correct path in the layout.json file, I’ve updated the layout.json file to rectify the paths. https://flightsim.to/file/39374/revised-headwind-a320-updated-fbw-system-and-gsx-parking-brake-fix
