Hi there,
When I open P3Dv4 GSX (and GSX Level 2) works fine, but if I have to reset position or restart GSX in P3Dv4, I get the error "The Couatl scripting engine hasn't started. This is usually caused by an antivirus that has blocked it etc". I have tried to re install and up date and it still occurs. I have allowed an exception for Addon Manager in my default antivirus.
I have previously had GSX installed on FSX on the same computer and did not have this issue.
The issue occurred before I purchased level 2
Any help would be great,
Thanks

Does it happen with every airplane, or only with a specific one ?

I only fly the PMDG 737, but it does it with all types.
-
Also observing this issue since Level 2 update. PMDG 777/QW 787 among other addon airplanes.

Are you installed the current Live Update ? We had this issue on the initial release but, we found the problem and all users that reported it initially said it was fixed.
-
Can also confirm, I get this problem too. I try starting couatl manually but to no avail.
-
I have tried both the internal update and external programme. Still have the issue.
It may be worth pointing out that I get no ingame notifications, such as to open the doors, release parking breaks, number of boarded passengers etc like I did in fsx.
Thanks

Another user pointed out in P3D 4.3 you can disable these notifications in the Options->General->Information->Message Text.

Hi, this has fixed this issue thanks.
Still cant reset location without the error. Tried both updates again :-(

I cannot reproduce the problem, see this video I just made, with multiple resets over 2 different airports and with a default airplane and the PMDG 747.

It’s odd because couatl is still running in the task manager after the restart...

It might be the copy from the previous session so, it's possible something in your system is preventing it to quit. What you were doing when you chose Reset position ?
Does it make any difference if you restart Couatl from the Couatl menu, rather than from the Reset position option ?

I have fixed it. I deleted and uninstalled everything (again) and it worked.
I noticed that the SODE control was activated in P3d and FSX, so I disabled it in FSX - this may have been the problem as I had deleted and reinstalled previously.
Thanks for your help!
