Hi all,
I've been trying to use both LSZH and LSGG airports. When i load at a gate and try to start GSX, it prompts me to select a gate. When i select my gate, it moves me to the middle of the taxiway. All AI aircraft are at their correct gates, so I'm not sure its an AFCAD issue.
Please help!

Yes, it's surely an AFCAD issue. You likely have a conflicting AFCAD, probably coming from another product. Check the AFCAD used by GSX, in the parking customization page.
-
great, it looks like its the wrong AFCAD (seems to be sourced in the My Traffic file). How do i change it to the correct AFCAD?
-
Rename the MyTraffic one so it's ignored. Change the extension to bg# rather than deleting it.
-
would you mind explaining in a bit more detail? I've tried changing the file extension, but now GSX says it can't load bc it can't find the AFCAD. If you wouldn't mind walking me through, i'd appreciate it.

After you rename a file to exclude it, you must use the "Restart Couatl and rebuild cache" option from the Couatl menu, because renames cannot be detected automatically without rescanning all files/folders.

Rename the filename back to its original name and then start FSX/P3D. Use the GSX menu to position your aircraft at a chosen gate. When it's done that open the GSX menu from the Addons option and there's an option near the bottom to customise the gate (from memory).
In that dialogue box the name of the BGL file that GSX is using will be named. If it's a MyTraffic one then it does need to be disabled so GSX can pick up the correct one supplied with the airport package.
By renaming the extension to bg# it's ignored by FSX/P3D and GSX. Always do that without FSX/P3D running. When you start the sim you'll see a scenery index rebuild appear briefly. That's your clue that the sim has detected a change.
That should solve the problem. It has for me.

can you give an example of what the file should look like with the bg# extension? would it just be "xxxxx.bg3" or something like that?
-
Not without turning on my FS PC. But from memory it has two parts to the name separated by an underscore and with a BGL extension of course.
It's probably going to have the airport ICAO name in the filename so search for *LSGG*.bgl and *LSZH*.bgl.
You should be looking in the MyTraffic\Scenery folder of course.
