Hello,
I have recently seen taxiway markers, ground lights, and even some jetways floating about 2 ft off the ground. They all have a small dark shadow underneath them, I don't know why this is happening, how can I fix this?
Thanks
K

Surely a conflict caused by another scenery. You can use the free Simple Airport Scanner program to search for duplicates AFCADs:
http://www.scruffyduck.org/simple-airport-scanner/
If you don't have a conflicting AFCAD, the problem is still a conflict caused by another scenery, but not of the AFCAD type (which the Simple Airport Scanner cannot detect), so it's likely a mesh, or a vector product. Do you have something from OrbX in that area ?

Yes, I have ORBX OLC NA, Vector, and FTX global

If the Simple Airport Scanner hasn't detected any duplicate files, then the problem is likely one of these sceneries. There are other threads in this forum about issues with OrbX products that might be solved using the supplied configuration utilities.

umberto,
how do you get ride of a duplicate that the simple airport scanner finds. I have 2 for KLAX V2? Do I simply turn one off in the config file?
Thanks.

If that scenery is part of a scenery you no longer need, then yes, turn if off in the config file and eventually remove its folder.
If, instead, is coming with another product, such as an AI Traffic package, you must remove that single duplicate file.

thank sir, that worked. ;D

I am seeing the Floating signs and taxiway lights too. The thing is when I start out at LAX they are all where they should be but when I fly into LAX they are floating. I ran the airport scanner and there are no duplicate flies for LAX.

Then you have a conflicting file the Airport Scanner cannot find. If the conflicting file doesn't contain other airport data, the scanner won't find it, so you must find it manually.

Any Ideas where I should start looking or what to look for?
