So I understand why all the gates at LAX are listed as gen-aviation ramps.
However, has anyone made a list of the radii of all the gates, so I can figure out an appropriate place to start my 747 from?

Something like this?

Other way around. I need the radii of the gates, not the plane. I know how big the plane is; now I need to know which gates are big enough for it to fit.

You can simply use GSX to go to a parking with the "Just Warp Me here" function, instead of the standard "Go To Airport" menu, because GSX, in addition to group gates using their correct names, which already makes it way easier to find one, will also indicate in the menu if that parking is too small for the airplane you are flying.
Since GSX is entirely free to use at all FSDT airports, even if you don't own it, there's no reason not to install it anyway. In fact, several features of the scenery, such as docking systems, won't work without GSX.

Oh, great, thanks!
