Addon Manager error and couatl engin crash **SOLVED**
« on: January 26, 2014, 10:40:32 am »
Hi,
During installation of FSDT Addon Manager I get the follow error message which I can click through, but don't know what the effect is "ERROR when creating patched_vehicles airport, restoring from backup now!".
When starting and running FSX to following error pops up every  seconds:
"The addon <Unknown> causes the couatl scripting engin to restart. Details can be found in /Appdata/Roaming/Virtuali/couatl.err. Please donwload and install the latest standalone Addon Manager from fsdt".

I have spend a full day on removing and re-installing fsx and gsx completely, have removed and reinstalled the addon manager and couatl engin over a dozen times, tried to follow every suggestion I could find on this forum - but nothing works.

Thanks to help. Currently cannot use FSX due to the error. Also bought and installed GSX but cannot use it.  Cry

Noah

It seems your user account has wrong permission, since you can't even write in your own local folder, which is not normal. Try the following first:

 -Reboot Windows

- Remove this folder:

C:\Users\sony\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali

- Reinstall GSX and try again

Hi,
Followed your instructions and all is working fine now!!!
Would never have been able to fix it on my own. Have a very happy son now.
Thanks a lot!
