Runway Lights
« on: December 14, 2013, 12:31:49 pm »
Greetings
I got an excellent tutorial from our hero (no sarcasm) regarding runway lights in FSX. I have CYVR and I must say it's light years ahead of the default airport. Thank you. I am a bit concerned though, about the runway lights. They don't seem natural at all when I am close to them. Perhaps it is something else that is clashing with the airport. I don't know. Would just like to know if there is anything I can do at my end to modify. A screen shot is attached to this note. Other scenery:

-Orbx PNW
-Orbx FTX Global (vector lights on)
-FS Global Ultimate Mesh
-REX

Thanks for reading this. Thanks for your help.

Graham

There's nothing wrong with your runway lights, they look like how they are supposed to.

Yeah I definitely think the lights could be improved, however due to the high amount of VAS usage in the area (I don't know how much runway lights use up VAS) I am very happy with the ones already there.

But, who am I to say, you guys did a really good job with the airport!

If we could get rid of a bit of the halo/haze around the lights it might look a little more natural. But yes, the rest of the airport is so very good.
