Mess at EHAM - Amsterdam
« on: November 15, 2013, 11:51:01 pm »
Hi there,

Just wondering what is going wrong. I parked at EHAM (this happened at another airport too). A soon as I ask for several services, The cars are driving through the walls / Jetway, they even hit their own cars.

Can anyone tells me why this behaviour took place please?

Thanks,
Ed

You don't say if your scenery is default or add-on.

If it's an add-on, the most likely cause is a fault AFCAD with misplaced nodes, overlapping nodes, non-connected nodes, not reachable parkings, etc. Should be fairly easy to find them using the "Fault Finder" tool in either ADE or AFX.

Sorry!

Its an addon of Aerosoft. Can I solve this anyway? I use a lot of Aerosoft airports.

Thanks,
Ed

See my previous reply. The two most popular AFCAD editors out there ( ADE and AFX ) contains tools to fix AFCAD mistakes.

I haven't said you can't use Aerosoft airports. I've said this specific AFCAD likely has some bugs, that doesn't necessarily mean all of them have the same bugs.

In general, while FSX might tolerate bugs with AFCADs (they would affect AIs usually, so you might not notice if you don't look for them), GSX requires the AFCAD to be faults free.

Because if their nice looking surroundings, I still use them. I am not always happy with faults youre mention. I am also not happy about Aerosoft that there are no upgrades (out of topic). So I am going to look at it with the use of these editors. Since a few days, I started to use ORBX. Can you tell if this works better with GSX?

Any airports that has a faults free AFCAD will work with GSX.
