Help with GSXR 600
« on: November 03, 2013, 12:36:44 am »
Hello,
I am not really handy with bikes but i just purchased a suzuki gsx r 600 (2006) and its overheating quickly. The temp is reaching as high as !07 degrees celsius. i changed the oil because it was low and really dirty, there is plenty of coolant. When i took it for a ride today when i stopped because it was getting hot a bit of coolant started leaking. Any thoughts before i take it to the mechanic??

LOL, could be worse. Back in the '90s I raced GSXR's in the AMA Championship Cup Series back when they were just air cooled. Talk about running hot after a race, especially when we were racing at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, AZ in the summer around 110 degrees outside. Not exactly sure how hot those engines ran back in those days, but I am sure it was a lot hotter than the liquid cooled Gixers run these days.

BTW, not sure about your engine, but you would probably be better off posting in a motorcycle forum rather than a flight sim forum. I've seen some off topic posts, but this has to be about as off topic as I have seen yet.

Some how i dont think the OP realised that this is a Flight Simulator group LOLLLLL
How silly this must look

I mean it even says "High Quality Addons For Microsoft Flight Simulator"

O well i guess we all have off days

I would recommend that the OP visit BCF (Biker Chat Forums)

That's why when I search YouTube for GSX videos made by users, I find lots of bike-related races, reviews, etc...
