Nobody else has reported this problem so far and we haven't got any alert from Esellerate about any problems to the servers either. Be sure you don't run a firewall/antivirus/anti-spyware product, that might block online access to FSX for some reason.

Okay thanks.  I was able to get around it by using the web based activation method instead.

BTW, all firewall/anti-virus services are either completely disabled, turned off or not installed on my FSX PC.  It's strictly used for FSX. Most, if not all, of my my Internet access is done through my Secondary PC which is protected.

However, my FSX PC does have Internet access as I was able to activate my other FSDT scenery a few months ago when I did a rebuild.

Weird.....

Okay thanks.  I was able to get around it by using the web based activation method instead.

That confirms the Esellerate servers are running normally (the web activation page is running ON the Esellerate servers), and the problem was that your PC wasn't able to access it only when running FSX.

This indicates something on your system is allowing a connection to the Esellerate servers from the browser, but not from FSX, and that really looks like something a firewall could do (by default, they allow browsers to connect everywhere, but single applications might need to be approved)
