« on: September 01, 2013, 12:01:06 am »
I re installed FSX on a brand new SSD Drive. I am in the process of reloading all of my software. I installed KORD and I get this error. I updated the Addon Manager but still get this error. I uninstalled KORD and and restarted the computer then re installed KORD but still get this error.

Can you help me with this?

You have a permissions problem, clearly from this line:

Code: [Select]
IOError: (13, 'Permission denied', u'C:\\Users\\Rob\\AppData\\Roaming\\Virtuali\\CouatlAddons.ini')
Make sure if needed, your FSX is ran as an Administrator, and make sure you have Administrator privileges on your account.

This indicates you have a problem with your user account, because that folder, under normal conditions, you should always have permission to write into, even without having admin rights for your account.

Right-click that folder (C:\\Users\\Rob\\AppData\\Roaming\\Virtuali\\), select Properties, select Security, and add YOUR user name to the list of users with read-write permissions. You shouldn't do this normally, but something in your user account has gone wrong.

The only solution I have is to reinstall Windows 7. I can not get that folder to authorize administration rights.

So I am in the process of reinstalling Windows  :(

I will report back when i get the Software reinstalled.

SOLVED ISSUE by re installing Windows 7. The issue was a corrupted permissions of administrators, that was caused by my stupidity of messing with the security settings and then trying to fix the problem bu doing a system restore that corrupted the REGISTRY.

Thanks guys the two airports I own by you are working fine, KORD and KJFK.
