World Of Ai + Honolulu Intl.
« on: November 04, 2012, 02:07:30 pm »
Hi, I just downloaded the Honolulu intl. scenery to try it out. But my World Of Ai traffic is invisible, even though  FSX tells me that it´s there. Is there any solution to this? and why doesn't it happen on the JFK, LAX, or O´Hare Scenery? Thanks

You can't use legacy FS9 AI traffic, it's a known problem in FSX and it's not specific to PHNL but to any other scenery that uses custom runway textures with default lights on top, and it's caused by using FS9 AI models.

The solution is either:

1) Deselect the "Airplane cast Shadows" option

OR

2) Use only FSX native AI models, like the one coming with UT2 or My Traffic X. This solution is usually better for the fps.

I have a mix of all the freeware FS9 ai models (including MAIW) and also FSX UT2 models and rarely have any issues with any of the Hawaiian scenery. The one thing that does happen sometimes is a ctd while on descent into the Honolulu area, but most of the time they exist in pretty good harmony.
