upgrading computer[need opinions]

Don't know which one socket 1155 or 2011.
  I am currently runing a Asus P8P67 Pro 3.1ver /with a I7 2600k. 8GB crucial memory & GTX 570 Video Card on three SSD all Intel.
Win 7x64 on a 80gig SSD FSX on a 80GIG SSD & addons on a 120SSD. All Removable with intel tecnology. I have a 500gig hdd I use and install only when backing up.

Do you overclock your CPU and how much? You should if not  ;D

But you won't get much faster than 2600K @ 5.0Ghz. You can go 3770K @ 5.0, but you have to delid it for that.

Furthermore your GTX570 is also a quite good card for FSX. 580 offers and edge, and 680 ain't faster.

So you see, you have a pretty good thing there.

Kosta,

I'm considering a new computer in the next 6 month as well. Regarding the graphic card I was looking at the GTX 660Ti would it be better that the 580 for FSX or is it a waste like the 680 is?

I remember reading from some comparisons that 660Ti runs about the same as 580 in the FSX. And 580 is a monster for FSX. 680 is a waste for FSX. Waaay too much power!
