Or... are they actually carving a different, innovative approach...!
Just thinking about the development of, for example, jet fighters, the world is more interesting because the USSR took a diverse approach to Boeing/Northrop/etc.
I hope they come up with something new.
As a Brit (ahem, subject of Her Majesty), I wish my country had the infrastructure/will/sheer self-confidence (and economy on a grand enough scale) to support innovative and "different" approaches to problems like short-haul efficiency.  Ah.. the Spitfire....!... I rather hope the Sukhoi is a rip-roaring success!
(And I know Embrarrerer is Brazillian (?) or have I got that completely wrong?  Alcohol is fueling this contribution....)
