Jetways high up

Not a big issue but just curious to find out why the jetways are so much higher up than the aircraft. Here you can see my SWA 737 parked at gate 14 at KLAS and the jetway is higher up than the actual plane.

No. I just wanted to know ,but most the most likely reason the jetways are so high is because the default jetways are like that and FSDT's jetways are the same jetways except for design. Or its because thats how they appear in real life.

Are you using FS9 or FSX? If your using FSX have you pressed CTL J to move the Jetway to the door of the plane? If this plane is an AI plane there's not much you can do!

i am using fsx and its the ifly737

Do you have GSX (its free for all FSDT airports)? If you have GSX you can find out if that payware plane is on the supported list. If it is then you can use the Jetway in CTL J mode to move the jetway to the door and you will also have the use of the other GSX vehicles.

It's just because the default FSX jetways are at that height. As SAAFlyer mentioned, FSDT uses the same jetway model, they just change the livery or skin color so to speak.

Well, not exactly, we have our own 3d model too (have you see them up close, compared to default ones ), obviously made under the official FSX specifications, but once we do the model, our control ends there: it's FSX that moves them on its own, and some people of ACES confirmed they still had some bugs left, precisely with the handling of the wheels on ground.

Ah, yes ok, that's pretty much what I meant but thank you for the clarification. I never knew that ACES knew about the wheel problem--I wonder why they didn't fix it? (Maybe just, to them, wasted resources and time for a relatively not huge problem)
