No Couatl menu, No GSX and No Buildings after new add-on mngr install? RESOLVED

Hi Umberto,

I'm having the same issue as WebMaximus.....have the couatl.log file for you.

Any idea what's going on?

couatl v2.0 (build 2290)
log started on Fri Feb 10 17:04:24 2012

connecting to SimConnect...
connected to FSX
bglmanx non ready yet, waiting.
Connection with FSX lost (has it crashed?)
disconnected from SimConnect.

Everything was working absolutely fine before the latest add-on mngr update install.

Appreciate your assistance.

NOTE TO ALL USERS WITH THIS PROBLEM: Umberto's suggestion to remedy this problem using Updated MS C++ 2005 32 bit files actually worked for me and resolved the issue - I guess there's no surprises that Umberto was right.

As already discussed in many other threads, the "Error 5" means you launched the installer too quickly without giving FSX enough time to close properly. A reinstall after a Windows reboot will surely fix this.
