GSX w/ QW757
« on: February 04, 2012, 05:01:49 am »
Hey FSDT, GSX is incredible, however, I have one into one minor issue thus far. With the QualityWings 757, there is a slight connection issue with one of the airstairs (see picture)

I have only noticed this with this type of airstairs, and these air stairs are commonly seen at airports in the hawaiian airports one package. If you could go into the code and make an exclusion for these airstairs when combing with the qw757, that would do the trick I think.

Please read this post here:

Jetways don't have anything to do with GSX, they are moved by FSX, and included in the scenery. GSX only knows (on a scenery with FSX-compliant jetways) if there is one or not at a gate, but doesn't controls them.

I'm not talking about the jetways, I'm talking about the airstairs supplied by GSX, they aren't connecting to the 757

by airstairs commonly seen in Hawaiian airports package, I'm referring to the fact that GSX by default selects these airstairs for this location. For testing, go to gate 5 at PHLI with the 757 and try and see the air stairs, they don't fully connect.

Ok, sorry, the jetway seemed to be the biggest issue in that screenshot, haven't noticed the rear stair. Yes, found it, it's a bug, not really of the QW757, but the stair itself.

Obviously yes, it should have been implied in the bug acknowledgement, we do live updates just to add a new airplane, you can be sure we'll fix bugs we know of.

So, has the patch been released? I have always had a problem with the front entry doors with this aircraft and all airstairs.

Do you realize this post was made for than 3 years ago ? There are no problems with the QW757 that we know of assuming, of course:

- You are using the current GSX version

AND

- You are using the configuration that comes with GSX. If you tried to customize it, and made some kind of mistake, your configuration will always take precedence to the one that comes with GSX.

To be sure you use the customization that comes with GSX, use the "Reset" button in the GSX airplane configuration page. If you are using the current version of GSX, the airplane configuration page will also tell you from which source GSX is reading the configuration for any airplane.
