Couatl.exe detected as malware (trojan)
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:11:21 pm »
Hi virtualy,

I just wanted to let you know that my anti-spyware software (lavasoft Ad-Aware) detected your couatl.exe as spyware (trojan) and blocked it. This caused the airport to be not displayed correctly.
I excluded it from detection routine (whitelist) and everything is fine again.

I suggest you do something against this false positive detection anyway,...

Regards,
Chris

There's not much we can do, sometimes we send samples to the antivirus producers, but they are so many, and we keep updating our modules so often, that we would need to constantly send samples and doing nothing else.

That antivirus and other security program should be configured to exclude our modules from scanning, it's something that has been explained in this forum many times.

In any case, I've just reported it to Lavasoft as a false positive.
