Not a problem of the scenery or the upgrade.
Just be sure that, if you modified the KDFW AFCAD and save it back, the "DeleteAllApproaches" command is set to FALSE, which is how we set it. If it's set to True, you'll lose all the approaches, both on the GPS and in the ATC.
Other than that, it can be another AFCAD from another scenery/product in conflict. As usual, the first check is to use the free FSX Airport Scanner program to check for AFCAD duplicates.
Of course, the KDFW scenery must be on top on any other scenery in the Scenery Library which could potentially conflict with it, which is why the installer puts it at the very top.
