New Weather Program From Hifi "Active Sky 2012"
« on: September 21, 2011, 10:09:14 pm »
Hello,

Just giving every one the heads up on the new weather program from HIFI. It is currently in Beta testing and they are going to give more details soon. The forums say it will only be for FSX. I wonder if that means it will run much better since it has been built only for FSX. I believe FSX is better at the weather simulation than FS9? Any ways I currently use ASE and there is no way I would fly with out it and the REX textures.

Best regards.

Edgar

I had no idea that they were working on another version, especially since they released SP3 a few weeks ago. I wonder what types of improvements they could have made in the newer version? Also, I am assuming that it wont be a free update like it was for ASA customers to get ASE. I will be interesting to see what they did differently in this release, but frankly I dont know if I want to spend $x.xx on another weather program unless if features something truely ground breaking, ASE is working pretty well for me.

BTW, they're not plannning on a Dec 21, 2012 release date are they?  :D

I'm still using AS2004.5, and it works well!  Though for 7 years, it might... might be time for an update..
