Chasing the Elusive Blue Rhino in HD

[ Invalid YouTube link ]

"Painted in a scheme that honors the Navy's enlisted corps work uniform, the
"Blue Rhino" is a Rhino with VFA-122 stationed at NAS Lemoore, CA.
Flown by pilot "Booger" Boogard and WSO/Skipper "Snapper" Bull, the mission
took place back in August over the Owens Valley east of Lemoore. My pilot
was USAF exchange Capt. "Trigger" Kaercher."

That is a good one. My personal favorite of his is the Double Farvel vid with the Blue Angels.

Really cool videos!

Did you notice in the first video, around 0:57, the inverted Lead flight rolls out and it looks like they are on a blind collision course with the wingman, so the aircraft (ownship) takes a quick turn to the right before the video cuts to the next scene.

The Blue Angles video shows that when they say 6-10 inches between airplanes they mean it. I swear it looked like the canopy was going to touch the belly of the lead flight at timestamp 0:14. Not sure if it was the camera or what.

Great Double Farvel Video (is that the one?). I would say that the camera zoom is decreasing the actual distance. However the Blues FLY CLOSE - no question.   :o Heart stopping stuff. Good that the photog kept his lunch under all that negative G.  ;D

Not your average day at the office by any means. Even for a full time aviation photographer, a backseat ride with the Blues is always extraordinary. On this occasion, the setting is K-Bay Hawaii this past October. Watch how close slot pilot "Kitty" Collins gets to Boss McWherter... inverted..."
