New York LaGuardia would be nice!
« on: February 24, 2011, 10:19:47 pm »
ImagineSim botched up their version when they try to fix it for FSX. It was a nice scenery in FS9, but they killed it in FSX and I see no solution to their lack of ability to correct the problems they have with it. Any way, Since Fsdt created KJFK, why not do a companion airport across town and do KLGA too?  Switzerland has Zurich and Geneva, why not the same for NYC? As a matter of fact, why not the same for Midway in Chicago, right across town from KORD? For me thou, KLGA is what I'm wishing for. ;)

I use Imaginesim's LGA in FSX, and it works just fine.

Well, that's good, but it's not working on my computer. I've reinstalled FSX twice trying to find the cause, and nothing works. At first I was told the software has a problem with FSX Acceleration, then I was told there was a problem with using it in combination with UTUSA, after that I was told that there is a problem with using it with A2A Simulation 3d lights. This goes on and on, and it seems to be every other software problem except theirs. I don't think so!!!  Every piece of payware software in FSX works without a glitch or problem, except for Imaginesim's LaGuardia. Mind you, I also have KMCI and San Juan PR scenery from them, and I don't have an issue with those two, why then KLGA? The one truthful answer I got from their forum was that it is hard for them to correct the problems some are experiencing with that software, and they don't know how to fix it, so they are not goint to go beyond from what they have done already as far as updates to v2. That is a dead end road to me if they couldn't spell it out!  Any way, I'm through with them, and will never buy a scenery from their developers where ever they may surface next.

By the way, the only time the scenery looks pretty good is in the day time, but still no gangway at the terminals, and at night the terminals are dark. Only the tarmac and the runways are lid.

Works fine for me too... By the way, I can't imagine that anybody will be trying to do either KLGA or KEWR any time soon. Every developer says the same thing about these airports: NYC is already so detailed that adding in high fidelity airports is gonna massacre the FPS to a point they can't accept. Same reaosn why nobody seems to want to make KSEA for FSX...

Speak for yourself! I use UTX, GEX, FEX, Aerosoft Manhattan, Fsdt KJFK, Ultimate Traffic II @ 80% traffic, A2A Simulation 3D lights, plus use light bloom/lens flare/advance animation, and I still get 35fps. Little old KLGA is not going to hurt any.
