Sludge/Combat Hornet Integrator... w/Capt Sim Option

A full Sludge Hornet/Combat Hornet installer will be released within the week.  This will include a FULL installer (if you have nothing previously installed), that will install the "Sludge Hornet" with the Combat Hornet.  This post will be edited when the installer is released.  The installer will install the "Sludge Hornet" with the Combat Hornet.  It will also include an option to install the all Sludge/Combat Hornet integrated into the CAPT SIM Delta Hornet IF you have purchased it.

Hey Razgriz. Are you still working on the installer with the Capt Sim Hornet option?  If so, will there be any other mods to it?

Yes, we are still working on it.  Pretty close to completion, just tweaking a few more things.

Cool! Thanks, Sludge! I am just so unhappy with the VRS Super"BUG"!!!! You guys here have done a great job with the FSX Hornet! The thought has crossed my mind to ask for a refund from VRS!!!

Not a problem.  Understand your angst with the 'Bug, but if you do get a refund, Id advise getting the Capt Sim Delta Hornet.  That way, you can have some eyecandy (ie. drop tanks, sidewinders..) to go along with the Sludge/Combat mods.

I do have it!(X-load) Actually, I was wondering if you guys could ever put external, visual weapons on the Sludge? Is that even possible?

Also, while we are on the X-Load subject, can you modify the F117 stealth that comes with it for better, more realistic carrier landings like you did with the Hornet?

We've messed around with the exterior modelling seeing if we can port it over, and seeing if we can use it to get our collimated HUD done, but to no avail.  We would have to build a whole new airplane model (or COMPLETELY re-animate the current one) to get weapons.

All the Sludge mods AND Combat HUD mod are successfully put on the CAPT SIM Delta Hornet.  There will be a checkbox (as the installer sees if you have the required Release-To-Market CS files) that allows you to install the integrated Sludge/Combat Hornet mods onto your RTM CS Delta Hornet.  We also have several paints downloaded paints that are very cool.  A few USN/USMC squadrons are included.

Here's the caveat, IF you have OTHER (your own custom downloaded) PAINTS already installed on your Sludge and/or Capt Sim birds, makes sure to REMOVE those and put them somewhere else for safekeeping as this installer will remove any previous Sludge installs, then it will install the Sludge's completely new.  It will also expect a RTM version of the CS Delta Hornet installed, so make sure to backup your own paints somewhere... then get the CS FA-18D folder in your /AIRPLANES directory back to its initial RTM state.

Have tested it several times, and it seems to run well.

Sorry, the F117 is just out of the purview at the moment and even IF I did WANT TO, I just dont have the time to flight test and mod it decently for carrier landings.

Now that the Integrator is done, am gonna start focusing on getting Carrier Ops up and running.  Been neglecting Carrier Ops for too long.

i was wondering the same thing.
you may be angry with the VRS folks, because of their behaviour towards costumers, but being unsatisfied with their product itself, is just plain stupidity, as its the best thing ever made for fsx
