I have posted about this problem over the past two months in independant FS forums and nobody as yet has encountered the same FS error, so I am trying here and at other developers forums.
FS9.1 / XP Sp3 / E8500 / D633BU / 8800GTS / 4Gb Ram / 750w Psu
CTD showing a message "Cache Directory Error" telling me that certain "cached files" are misssing and to restart FS. The files are all sorts of addon scenery files from a variety of payware and FS defaults (Ocen, Eurw, .agn for example) but upon checking they are present and correct. I have a full FS install, no files are cached, no cd is in the drive
After one OS and FS reinstall the CTDs continue, and after FS-only reinstalls.
The more addon scenery that I remove the longer it takes to crash, and the more FS files are quoted as missing.
Has anyone at FSDT come across this error? Has anyone here on these forums seen it before?
