Wrong baggage loaders
« on: April 10, 2025, 12:06:03 am »
Hello,

I seem to be having an issue whereby the wrong type of baggage loaders are being used for cargo on the inibuilds A350 (MSFS 2024). Sometimes it is correct with the ULD, but other times it uses the BELT instead for the main cargo hold. I am current using the GSX profile supplied by flightsim.to (https://flightsim.to/file/89955/gsx-pro-profile-inibuilds-a350-900-1000)

I have attached a screenshot, what could be the issue?

The iniBuilds A350 is internally supported by GSX AND it comes with a profile supplied by iniBuilds as well, so there's no reason to use a 3rd party profile. Use the stock one, because we cannot guarantee anything when using other users profiles.

And just to clarify, I should delete the custom one I installed, and then GSX automatically uses the one supplied by iniBuilds? -because I don't know where that is located in the inibuilds folder

You don't have to know. The airplane configuration page has a RESET button precisely for that reason, so you won't have to fiddle with files and know where they are.

If you click RESET on an airplane that comes with a developer-provided profile, the Reset will remove juet the CUSTOM profile you downloaded, not the one provided by the developer. If the airplane doesn't come with a developer-provided profile, RESET will remove the custom profile so the plane will revert with what GSX is providing, which can be either an Internal profile or "nothing" if the airplane is not internally supported by GSX, so you should not Reset in this case and use a custom profile.

And, the airplane customization page will tell you exactly which data is available and which data is in use, in the top part of the window under the airplane name, it says:

- Aircraft data available from these sources:

xxx
xxx

- Aircraft data used by GSX:

xxx

The first group of lines will tell you ALL data available for that airplane, which can be "Internal GSX database", "Developer-provided" and "User customization"

The second line will tell you what GSX is using now, because it's a priority system: if there's an Internal profile and a developer-provided profile, GSX will use the  developer-provided profile. If there's a User custom profile, GSX will use that one with the highest priority, and so on.

Hi

So I've checked and it still uses the wrong BELT loaders some of the time. Note other times it is the correct ULD loader. Any idea why this might be?

First, be sure GSX has been updated, because with version 3.4.0 this happened, but it was fixed in 3.4.1. Also, check if the profile made by iniBuilds is updated, setting the correct ULD codes, BELT is not enabled and "Auto" is Disabled.

Not sure what you mean by "Auto" disabled, but I have checked the iniBuilds supplied profile and it says:

Code: [Select]
[cargo1]
pos = 1.56 17.16 -1.32 0.00
code = 8
name = FWD CARGO
ceiling = 1.7
width = 2.8
embeddedStair = 0
uldcode = AKE,RKN

I'm sure that is correct.

Umberto - the incorrect loader issue is still happening with the latest version.

I am in the Fenix right now, the default GSX profile is active (I have no other profiles installed etc), AKH loaders are selected as per the default, yet I can still see the larger pallet loaders on the rear door.

In some instances (but not all - it's sporadic), belt loaders will appear for the lower cargo holds in the PMDG 777F - again no third part GSX profiles are in use, and the correct settings are showing in both the aircraft and scenery settings.

Seems to be ok with other aircraft that have default GSX profiles, but as I said it is sporadic so I'm not 100% convinced the correct loaders will appear with them at some stage on this version also.

Please provide reproduction steps, because I can't replicate it, I always get the correct ULD loaders specified in the profile, regardless of the airplane.

Fenix Aircraft, no external/additional GSX Profiles loaded for the aircraft (deleted the profiles that self generate so as to start afresh).

This profile lists AKH loaders in the Aircraft profile on cargo doors 1 & 2.
Front and Rear baggage loaders set to Any Type in the Airport customization.

Large pallet loader appears for the rear cargo door, AKH loader appears for the front cargo door.

This does seem to be at random - for example, I just completed a flight in the Fenix A321, EDDH-EDDF.
At EDDH had AKH loaders for both front and rear cargo doors.
At EDDF had Large pallet loader on the rear and AKH on the front.

Checked baggage loaders in the airport settings, can confirm both are set to Any Type which would indicate it would rely on the info from the Aircraft settings (again, both set to AKH).
