Crew greeting when passengers boarding
« on: March 26, 2025, 03:56:56 pm »
When conducting a flight early in the morning, the flight attendant would say randomly "Good Night" to the passengers boarding or deplaning.  How does GSX Pro determine when the cabin crew says "good night" or "good morning"?  Can the GSX Pro team adjust the settings so that anytime after, let's say 3:00 am local time, the cabin crew says good morning?  It does not seem realistic to have them say "good night" when it is early in the morning.

Of course GSX checks for the local time to decide to say Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night. You don't say if you use MSFS 2020 or 2024 but, there's a known bug in 2024, which reports the wrong local time.

I am using MSFS2020 and I was leaving Calgary (YYC) at 0500 local time (MST) and during the boarding process the cabin crew member was saying good-night.

So it's normal, night is from 00:00 to 06:00, morning is from 06:00 to 12:00, afternoon is from 12:00 to 18:00 and evening is from 18:00 to 00:00, it's a simple check, it's not a realistic astronomical simulation of the sunsets/sunrises depending on lat/lon "just" to speak a greeting.
