GSX acting strange after updating.
« on: March 10, 2025, 04:03:04 am »
I haven't updated GSX since it gave an option to Link to MSFS2024. Since linking it and updating I've been having all kinds of issues with 2020 and 2024.
Numerous airports and gates are throwing Pushback.py errors. Some gates will work and push me back but I don't see the tugs or ground crew. I also noticed my Simbrief is now in red all the time yet my profile name is correct.

I tired removing all custom GSX profiles but that didn't solve it. I did uninstall and reinstall, same issues, some gates work some don't. Example, Gate K16 at FSDT KORD won't work for me. Keeps triggering an error.

I think I read this is a known issue if we have 2024 installed. I fly mainly in 2020. Is there a way to only have it installed in 2020?

Your problem doesn't have anything to do with MSFS 2024, from the log, it seems no Pushback vehicle of any kind has been found, as if the airplane profile is wrong.

And in fact, as confirmed by your error log:

Error: no model for Couatl type Pushback available for ICAO KORD and params {'pushbackType': 2, 'doorHeight': 0, 'aircraftWeight': 442742.65625, 'parkingRadius': 33.0}

It seems there's no passengers door height ( is set to 0 ), which is required to know which pushback vehicle to use, since the door height gives a rough estimate of the cabin clearance.

Thanks for getting back to me. Strange that using the same plane at another gate at KORD does display a tug but K16, heavy gate doesn't. I'll make sure I have a profile for the Horizon Simulations Boeing 787-9.
