Hi Stephen, thank you for the reply and for your suggestion.
I tried what you described but unfortunately it made no difference. Here are the steps I performed:
- created blank file ...\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\lppd.ini
- deleted folder C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl
- ran Prepar3d; the Couatl folder was re-created; 6 files were created in C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl\prepar3dv4
- loaded up the flight with my aircraft parked at LPPD; another 7 files were created in C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl\prepar3dv4
- waited for the C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl\prepar3dv4\models.dat file to reach a size of 35,732 KB
- un-paused my flight and made some GSX parking modifications ("Customize airport positions - Customize vehicle locations" - moved stop position, baggage loader positions)
- exited the editor completely and re-entered; the vehicles were back in their original positions - my changes were not saved
- quit the sim
- checked the ...\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\lppd.ini file - it remained empty
I also tried rebuilding the GSX airport cache, but I believe this happened during the above steps anyway since I removed the Couatl folder in order to "refresh everything".
In addition, I have checked another airport that I have by the same developer, MKStudios Dublin. The file eidw-oy8fur.ini exists for this airport, last updated 5/22/2023, indicating that I was able to successfully modify the GSX parking positions at this airport.
As an additional experiment, I temporarily removed the airport .ini file corresponding to another airport which I have been able to modify successfully on a regular basis, Flightbeam's KSFO (ksfo-k9ftcz.ini, last modified 12/16/2024). I made some parking modifications the same way as described above and, upon exiting the editor, I observed that a new file ksfo-lzl9_8.ini was created, as normal. Thus, this seems to indicate that the issue I am currently experiencing is unique to the LPPD airport.
Oh, I should have mentioned before that I am running Prepar3d v4.5 on Windows 11, build 26100.3476.
Thanks for any additional advice/suggestions!
