MSFS 2024 - Persistent "GSX Remote Control Active" window in front of me

I'm not using 2024 much because of these issues, but I flew the inibuilds A300-600 a few times successfully.

But with GSX installed, I always get a window "GSX Remote Control Active" with a spinning icon right in front of me. I cannot close it, it is unresponsive. It also means I cannot use the Menu Bar. Closing COUATL doesn't help. Very annoying!

It disappears when switching to VR, but it means I cannot fly on my monitor, just in VR.

I've been using GSX in MSFS 2020 a lot and I've never seen this window.

Vanilla MSFS 2024, the only addons in the Community Folder are GSX (up to date) and the inibuilds A300-600 Premium.

I have the same issue. Hugely annoying. Window appears after leaving VR and cannot be closed.

Can't reproduce it, but from the look of it, it seems the couatl engine hasn't started, so follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps which starts at Page 95 of the manual.
