PMDG 777-300ER GSX Pro Aircraft Profile Bugs (2024/12/16)
« on: December 16, 2024, 08:46:58 am »
1. Catering did not automatically close door, stood there attached until I manually closed Entry 4R myself.

2. Entry 1L opened automatically during deboarding, despite no jetway attached and deboarding using Entry 2L. After manually closing 1L, it opened again a few seconds later (screenshot attached).

3. GSX did not ask to connect ground power after chocks were in. (Why can't GSX also ask for chocks?)

4. Front luggage compartment didn't unload (screenshots attached).

5. Deboarding didn't complete because of 4.

Using latest version of GSX Pro 3.3.1. There was nothing in the log file for this flight.

Umberto, could you please focus on just making GSX bug free for the next few releases, and don't add new features until it is? We'd very much appreciate it because a single day without some sort of GSX issue hasn't happened to me... ever, I think.

considering  each time  a  addon  gets  updated  than   gsx  needs  to  reflect  those  change

I suggest to check the facts before being sure what you are reporting it's a "GSX bug", because your report seems very similar to this one, which was caused by using a custom profile (not needed) which was made/downloaded before GSX supported the airplane:

1. A few GSX versions ago, before the PMDG 777F came out, the 777-300ER was perfect using your profile.

2. I never installed a custom profile for the 777. I always used what was part of GSX created by you.

3. I loaded in the 777-300ER for the first time since the 777F came out yesterday, and the profile was broken as stated above.

To clarify, I personally never installed a GSX custom profile for the 777-300ER or 777-F.

Question:

Where does that gsx.cfg file come from, from the post you linked?
Who put it there?
PMDG?
GSX Pro?

PS. Attached my aircraft folder for posterity.

After deleting the gsx.cfg file from the 777-300ER (edit, had a typo) folder, GSX yells "You need to set parking brakes to request ground services." despite chocks being on.

Why?

take it  a typo  when  you said  chocks   being  on  instead of  parking  brake

Not a typo. Chocks were always enough.

This didn't solve the issue. Can you suggest what else I should do?

so  chocks  were  in and  parking  brake  were off  and  still works

I deleted both profiles one that came with the plane and other which I had downloated previously. It didn´t solve this issue. The was no problem, before the PMDG update came

Navigating GSX menus can be challenging but also rewarding when you figure it out. It’s like writing a satire essay: you have to balance creativity and precision to make everything work smoothly. If you're interested in honing those skills, check out some satire essay examples to explore how structure and humor come together for impactful results. Keep experimenting, and you'll master both menus and expression!
