Updates to be done to MSFS2024 EuroAirport
« on: November 25, 2024, 07:50:43 pm »
Hi everyone

I am a PPL holder and ATPL Cadet based in LFSB.
Unfortunately there are a few things that need to be fixed:

1) Taxiway Bump/Terraforming on Taxiway "B" before entering the Apron via "S"
2) Taxiway Bump/Terraforming on Taxiway "B" before entering the Apron via "M1"
3) Taxiway Bump/Terraforming on Taxiway "B" before entering the Apron via "E"
4) The masts on which the approach lights are mounted on is not modelled at all. The lights float in the air (RWY15)
5) Poor night lighting on the Apron. IRL the apron is much more lit than what it is in the sim. You are barely able to see your parking position which is not the case IRL as mentioned

Thank you for having this fixed.
I appreciate the help. If any reference material is needed. Please let me know as I will most likely be able to provide data.

Yes, I think it needs Updates as well.

If I start cold and dark in the GA area, I can use the scenery. If I try to start at an Airliner Gate, the Sim crashes to desktop.

Hi!

Yestarday my first attemp to leave J2 with A2A Comanche to RWY 25 the plane hit some invisible obstacle and aircraft crashed and engine shut down.

An other attemp from J4 there was some elevation problem as I start rolling taxiway J. Comanche drop down - feels like 1 meter drop - place where taxiway start.

So I hope that Virtual check this - this is very nice small airport

Thank You

Rolf

This airport is not really compatible with msfs24, I have grass on the apron.

This airport is not really compatible with msfs24, I have grass on the apron.

Of course the airport is compatible with MSFS 2024, and we released the update that fixes exactly that in November, few days after MSFS 2024 came out. The problem is the MS Marketplace because:

- We sent the update to Microsoft, and they approved it, so it's already out on the 2020 Marketplace, this even before the 2024 Marketplace opened, so back then, if you bought it from the MS Marketplace, you would have seen the scenery Streamed, but flagged as "not creator approved"

- As soon as Microsoft gave us the chance to approve it, we approved it, because of course the version we sell here has worked for months.

However, even if the scenery is now flagged as approved for use in 2024, they are still streaming the OLD version, not the one they released in the 2020 Marketplace and we approved for use in 2024. So, what you see as "creator approved", in fact is not what we approved, it's an older version.

We asked about this to Microsoft (is happening to other developers as well), they said they'll look into it, but we haven't heard back from them yet.

HOWEVER, the good news is that, the BUG in MSFS 2024 that caused grass to appear on aprons, has been FIXED in SU2 Beta (the scenery never had any problems to begin with, we had to do a fix because of that bug), so even in case the Marketplace version would be late in updating (we hope it won't), it's already fixed by joining the SU2 Beta or, if you don't want to risk installing the Beta, it will fixed anyway for when SU2 will came out, because that bug was the only reason to get the updated version.
