We'll try to keep this post updated with the latest informations:
1) Please do not report issues about Jetways, GSX has NO effect on Jetways, nothing bad happening with jetways has ANYTHING to do with GSX. There are some differences in the way jetways work in 2024, so they require the airport developer an update.
Of course, as of now, ALL FSDT airports has been updated to fix all jetways issues caused by differences between MSFS 2024 and 2020.
2) Due to the way packages are Streamed in the sim, it's not currently possible to create a GSX Profile for any of the new MSFS 2024 airplanes.
This couldn't possibly be tested with the Alpha, since it only included the DA-62 and an Helicopter. Nobody outside Microsoft ever seen the new planes, let alone how they would work when streamed. The main issue is, the airplane is not installed in a normal way and the airplane root folder reported by Simconnect doesn't contain the whole airplane, just the minimal set of files needed to show it in the UI, the rest is streamed when starting a flight.
3) We are looking into new ways to detect the airplane used, so it would be possible for it to be identified by GSX and create a profile, this is of course something that is not affecting "just" GSX, because it affects repainters and modders in general, which are all asking clarifications from MS/Asobo in the MSFS developers forum.
A while ago, Microsoft showed the ability to to Download add-on packages instead of Streaming then, so it would stay on disk with all its files but, it seems this feature is not there yet, possibly related to the release of the updated Marketplace for MSFS 2024.
This means, for the time being, the only airplanes which can be used right now with GSX, are those in the Community folder.
4) For the same reason, it's best if you Disable ALL GSX replacement jetways in MSFS 2024, since the Navdata is not the same, so we need to update it. You can still use GSX Airport services.
