That's because you are editing the PARKING position, which is what is used ( together with the radius and threshold parameter ), to know if you are IN that Parking spot. So the editor is moving the airplane to the center of the parking spot.
It has no relationship with the STOP position, which is how you tell GSX where you want your Main Exit lined to. If you don't set it, GSX will use a default estimate, and there is when the airplane "jumps to" after it was momentarily moved in the center of the parking to edit the Parking position.
I suggest reading the chapter in the manual called Understanding the Stop position, pages 50-51, which explains what it does, and why it's different than the Parking position.
