"U. S. NAVY SIMULATOR TAIL HOOK CONVENTION" PENSACOLA, FL NOVEMBER 12-14, 2010

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I PROPOSED A "GET TOGETHER" HERE IN PENSACOLA OF ANYONE FLYING NAVY FLIGHT SIMULATOR. SEVERAL "PILOTS' COMMUNICATED TO ME THAT THEY WERE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING SUCH AN EVENT.

HERE IS WHAT I WOULD PROPOSE, IF WE HAVE ENOUGH (MINIMUM 10) "PILOTS" COMMITTED TO ATTEND:

1. "HAPPY HOUR" AT THE NAS PENSACOLA OFFICERS CLUB (MUSTIN BEACH) FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12th FROM 1600-1800. http://www.naspensacola-mwr.com/clubs/oclub/oclub1.htm)

2. 1830 DINNER AT "MC GUIRE'S IRISH PUB (http://www.mcguiresirishpub.com/)

3. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14th. LUNCH AT THE "CUBI CAFE" IN THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NAVAL AVIATION.

4. GUIDED TOUR OF THE MUSEUM, FLIGHT LINE EXHIBITS AND RESTORATION AREA.( http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/ )(ME AS GUIDE).

5. SCHEDULE A "BLOCK" OF TIME FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN FLYING THE "TOP GUN" F14 SIMULATORS.( CARRIER LANDING, FORMATION AND COMBAT). I THINK SIX COCKPITS ARE AVAILABLE WHICH CAN BE LINKED TOGETHER. (http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/P...imulators.aspx)

7. SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13th NOON-1600. BLUE ANGLE AIR SHOW.

I WOULD MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE HAPPY HOUR, LUNCH TOUR AND SIMULATOR EVENTS, AND ASSIST IN MOTEL RESERVATIONS.

We are progressing with the Plans for "Simulator Tailhook"! Groups are showing interest in setting up demo's and displays. We  think a room at the O club beginning about 1300 Friday prior to the "Happy Hour" would kick things off, and perhaps have the room open Saturday prior to the "Cubi Club" lunch.  We will need to know who, and what will be presented.  Program deadline will be established shortly, so get your stuff together.!!!
Registration form, and suggested area motels will also be published in the nest 2 weeks.
