iFly B738 Max 8: GSX Pro does not detect parking brake release
« on: October 19, 2024, 07:54:49 pm »
Hi, I have updated GSX Pro to the latest version available but a small problem with the B738 Max 8 seems still not solved.

I am referring to the release of the parking brake after choosing the pushback direction. Despite the airplane being free (wheel chocks removed and no external device connected), when it is requested to release the parking brake (and it releases), GSX continues to ask "release parking brake", as if it does not perceive this action.

How to solve?

Thanks.

If with "B738 Max 8" you mean the iFly 737-8 Max, I can only confirm it works perfectly fine, and once Wheel chocks are removed, Pushback starts.

Of course, I am referring to iFly 737-8 Max, it is also written in the title of the topic, as well as I also wrote that I had removed everything, including the wheel chocks. I also tried to apply the brakes but it did not help. I will produce an explanatory video.

Same happens to me today all is moved away, park brake is set and not set so no pushback - no matter what I do..
I mean pushback is there but tells me all the time "release parking brake" and she is released !!

cheers  ;)

Feel like I read a lot of these forum posts and someone needs to say it:

I’m not sure what the admins problem is but us, as users, pay £30 for a product that we expect to work and have a full occasional bugs, which is expected. What I don’t expect to see, and I think I’m speaking for everyone here, is the way us as users are spoken to by the FSDreamTeam when we submit a bug / issue / question, the amount of users I have seen that are spoken to like sh*t and accused of being stupid or doing something wrong is beyond me.

FSDreamTeam, your product is cool, but it is buggy, and us as users who have paid for your product don’t appreciate being told that we’re in the wrong, or that the bug we’ve submitted ‘isn’t a bug’ and ‘it’s our fault for setting something up wrong’

Please do your customer service better, thank you :)

The latest GSX Pro has messed up all my iFly liveries as well. Ugh. All the fuselages are gone on each livery.

had  the  same  issue,  than  found  out  i had  tried  the  mod   for  the  seated  passengers as  said  in  another  thread  of  the ifly  in this  forum, as   soon  as  i had  unchecked  the  seated  passengers and  checked   the  seated  option in  gsx  option  for  the  pink   pax  which i hadnt  before the  last update than i had the  issue as  you described. than i uninstalled  my liveries  and  re installed  with no issues, i  than used  the  mod ( this  time    didnt  unchecked   and  check  the  seated option  since  this  is  causing  my ifly  livieries  to  break)    got  my fuselage  back  again only  issue is  that as  soon  as  the  pax sit  down  they turn pink. Any  way can live  with pink pax till ifly  comes  up  with  their  update

I have the same issue. GSX ramp attendant repeatedly asks to release brakes. I have uninstalled GSX and the iFly Max8 and reinstalled without any mods to either application. GSX works with every other aircraft so it must be something the iFly team has to fix.

My issue is resolved. I removed the chocks in the iFly Max8 EFB.
