ATR 72-600F
« on: October 11, 2024, 04:18:23 pm »
Hi,
yesterday 10/10 we received the freighter version of the ATR 72-600 from Asobo/Microsoft for the MSFS 2020.
Will this a/c be fully supported by GSX Pro like the pax version is?
Regards
Hans

There's a GSX profile available on flightsim .to by now. But we have to use the belt loader with the ATR Freighter unfortunately :(

FSDT/virtuali should consider developing a low-profile cargo pellet loader. The one we have available right now is too tall to reach the low cargo deck. It breaks the immersion to use a belt loader.

How do you actually get this to work? I've downloaded both of the versions from flightsim.to but what do I use from the GSX menu to call the cargo?

Thanks

Paul

Paul, should just be the standard boarding and deboarding.

On 10/24 we got another update for the Microsoft ATR in MSFS 2020 mainly affecting the freighter 72-600F.

Again, will this variant be supported by GSX Pro like the 72-600 pax is?

I am also interested in the profile of this cargo variant, among other things it seems to me that the hotel mode does not allow pushback

Thanks to the FSDTeam for supporting the ATR 72 freighter! I appreciate that.

There are still some things to optimize
on boarding/loading the low profile cargo loader is approching the a/c from the right side but the cargo door is on left
and the containers are not centered inside the fuselage on loading/de-loading.

Customizing the a/c and saving it to a gsx.cfg brings back a cargo train instead of the cargo loader and on unloading there is a sound output "crew deboarding ..." without showing anyone.

You just can't use the normal cargo loader, there's a reason why we used Belt loaders, and it's because we don't have a loader that can go that low. No, using the A320-specific one would be wrong, because it's not made for the type of pallets loaded on main cargo so, until we'll add a better cargo loader, it's best to use Belt loaders as we set them up.

Sorry, but in my sim there is a low profile cargo loader comming to load/unload two container. Made a small video which i can send to you. Thought FSDT made this already possible. But it seems i am the only one having that animation.

I get that one too, problem is the containers are too big. I only got this working once I removed the third part .ini for the ATR-F

That's because you are not using the default profile in the GSX internal database. Either remove your custom file ( the RESET button in the airplane configuration page ) or set the loader type for the cargo door to be BELT and disable the AUTO checkmark in the same page.

GSX Pro is telling different.

Update to GSX Pro 3.2.7 makes it all worse again.

Instead of having a cargo loader as before, now the belt loader with a baggage(packets) train arrives again although I choose AKE to load in the aircraft profile and a cargo loader at the parking position.

Pls. clarify how to load/unload the ATR 72-600F with (AKE?) Container.

Update to GSX Pro 3.2.7 makes it all worse again.

Update 3.2.7 fixed it.

You should not have an A320 cargo loader before.

You can't use a Cargo loader, because the CCL (A320) is not correct for freighters, and the FMC Commander can't reach the ATR cargo door, so we updated the profile (and if you have a custom profile you should do the same), to use a BELT loader, so you'll see packages instead of luggage because it's a Cargo airplane, and that is the only correct way to load the ATR Freighter, until we'll add a new PROPER loader for these airplanes.
