GSX crashes FSX

(1/1)

chano777:
Hello,
I had to reformat my PC and reinstall FSX SP2 on Windows 10.
When I install the updated GSX base pack and second edition explained when loading a flight, at approximately 40% the simulator crashes. When you uninstall the GSX, the simulator loads normally. The problem is that I bought almost all the scenarios for FSX that you sell and in order to reinstall them it asks me to have GSX installed beforehand. I had them installed along with the GSX before reformatting my PC and they worked fine. I don't know why this problem is occurring now. I hope you can give me a solution. I send you the error report.
Greetings.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the GSX, registered the serial and loaded the flight in a scenario that is not from FSDreamteam, but when I installed an FSDreamteam scenario (Memphis) when loading the flight it crashed again.
What also catches my attention is that the times when you load the flight in the top tab where the addon manager is, GSX does NOT appear; I install it again, charge the flight and it appears, I turn off the simulator, turn it on again, charge another flight and it disappears. (?)
I saw the event failure again and it gave the following:

I hope you can help me solve this problem since I have almost all the scenarios purchased from FSDreamteam for FSX.

chano777:
Hello,
Again trying to see why my simulator crashes when loading a flight. It seems to me that the problem is being caused by the addon manager. These are the last two bug reports received. I hope you can help me solve this problem since I can't use the simulator.
Greetings

Pd: I already followed the steps that the simulator asks me to correct the errors but it keeps crashing when loading a flight; There are times the flight loads but a few seconds after loading it crashes.

Captain Kevin:
Your last screenshot seems to suggest your anti-virus is blocking it for some reason, and your second to last one seems to suggest you have advanced animations turned off. Go into the GSX settings and enable logging since the panic log doesn't give much information, you need the full log. It'll be called Couatl.log. The next time you have an issue, you'll want to put Couatl.log in a zip file, then upload the zip file to the forum.

I'm sorry but, when the sim is at 40%, is still loading things like terrain, so GSX is not doing anything.

Your log doesn't prove GSX is the cause of the crash: API.DLL is Simconnect, so there must be some issues with your FSX Install, possibly another add-on using a different version of the Simconnect .DLL which is forcing the sim to load that one, while GSX of course uses the latest one, and loading two versions of the same .DLL, although it's possible in theory (Windows Side-by-side), in practice it ends causing problems.
