Is my brain messing with me, or ....
« on: September 11, 2024, 10:40:10 am »
I vaguely seem to remember reading that there is (or will be) an option in GSX to set the dimensions of a cargo hold of an airplane so GSX can better assess the number of carts/luggage/containers to load based on other metrics. But I can't find any reference to it anymore. I understand GSX's 3-cart logic and why they chose to do it. However, what I was trying to accomplish is to limit the number of suitcases being loaded into the 777 bulk cargo hold. As it is now, if you get 3 carts of containers for the main cargo holds, you'll also get 3 carts full of suitcases for the bulk belt loader. The bulk hold is usually reserved for cabin overflow, small packages and the like and is very, very rarely stuffed with suitcases. Let alone 3 trolleys worth. My idea was that using this hold dimension (volume) variable I could limit the bulk cargo to 1, maybe 2 trolleys.

Cheers,

Xander

We never had this option. A complete overhaul of the cargo loading system is planned, no ETA.
