GSX taxi out without pushback
« on: August 18, 2024, 07:41:57 pm »
Hello guys,

what i feel is missing at the moment in GSX is a procedure for taxi-out stands without a pushback. At the time beeing, there's no real option beside the "reset position" in order to remove all ground equipment etc. But as in real life, it would be great if there was a steering pin inserted, a ground operator who monitors the engine start and would remove the pin and give a free sign when a good engine start is confirmed.

Thank you so much in advance!

Now you have me curious, what's the reasoning behind inserting the steering pin only to remove it when the plane isn't being pushed back or towed.

Maybe the pilot didn't initially ask for a quote how much the airport would charge for pushback, so he changed his mind after getting it as in "no way we are going to pay that, I'll pushback with reversers, like real men do"... :)
