Can't re-install GSX
« on: August 02, 2024, 05:18:56 pm »
Hi,

I today had a problem where GSX wasn't appearing on the MSFS toolbar so I thought I would de-activate and re-activate it. However, it won't re-install. I get a message saying that my drive is not NTFS but it is NTFS and it was installed on this drive until an hour ago? Please advise how I can get it re-installed. Thanks.

(I am using MSFS Store Version).

I have just the same problem. I uninstall GSX and try to install it but can't do that.

The problem has been fixed as soon it was reported, so it's not happening again, and since the installer can update itself automatically, you should get the fixed version if you start it again.

Having the Community folder listed with the \\?\ prefix is not a problem, it's the standard Windows notation that allows to support extra-long file paths that can happen with some 3rd party liveries with very long names on their own, if you installed MSFS in the default already very long path. Now it's no longer a problem.
