FS2004 Addon Manager installing but cant find it? FIXED)

Hey guys i did a clean install of FS2004, i downloaded all the sceneries i bought from fsdt and when i run the addon manager 1.9.2 it appears to work ok, it "finishes installing" , it installs the DLLS in the modules folder inside FS2004 but the program itself i cant find it anywhere, so i cant enter the serial numbers. i also notice the bglman.dll is 0 bytes. before i did the installation i turned off my AV & FW. :/ can anyone shed some light please

Try this. Open FS and let it load. Then click on Free Flight, then click on Fly Now and let it load. Then click on the AULT button on your keyboard and a menu will appear across the top of the screen. Then click on the Addon Manager and follow the instructions on that page.
This works for me, WIN10, FSX.

for that to work if it even works Addon Manager has to be installed and it is not. i  believe once you install it it goes to program files (86)/addon manager. well that doesnt exist and FS keeps saying BLGMAN.dll is no good.

Then it maybe a compatibility problem with FS2004. I don't think FSDT is producing any *new* addons for Flight Simulator 2004.
Have you given any thought to FSX-SE or MSFS.

the problem isnt FS2004, the problem is the program isnt installing properly on windows 11 i guess, i havent migrated to FSX or any other sim because even with the $4k computer is runs very shitty because its poorly optimized. i have 20 years worth of addons, sceneries, airplanes and other shit. thank you for your help. i guess no one else cant help so ill just keep looking or replace the sceneries for free ones. it is what it is.

Right-click on the FS2004 executable APP.
Select Properties and navigate to the Compatibility tab.
Check the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the dropdown menu. This will mimic the environment FS2004 was initially designed for.

bcm652 LOL!! the problem is not FS2004, fs2004 works fine. the problem is i cannot reactive the FSDT Sceneries because the Addon Manager isnt working something isnt working right and i think it may be related to a windows update. i have tried everything i could think of, including all the compatibilities settings. i run addon manager and it installs everything but bglman is corrupted apparently and the program itself isnt going into the PROGRAM FILES/ADDON MANAGER or anywhere else for that matter. :/

I know it is not the answer you want, but you cannot expect such dated software to work on Win11
There are just too many requirements for FS 2004 that are not found on Win11 and compatibility is the only issue that I can think of.
Why are you using FS2004, this program came out in 2003 and FSDT has stopped writing addon's for it long ago, so Addon Manager being installed for FS2004 is a long shot. And without the Addon Manager, you're kind of hooped.
But, computers can be kind of funny.

We switched servers a few weeks ago, and we didn't realized the FS9 downloads were missing but, of course, since almost nobody uses FS9 anymore, it took a while for somebody to notice so we could restore the downloads.

So now, at least I can assure you the Standalone Addon Manager for FS9 works and download the files correctly.

About *working* on Windows 11, that's a whole entirely different problem, which we can't offer you any support with. I know they work on Windows 10, but we don't have anybody testing on Windows 11, and nobody will work at a fix, even in case it would be discovered there's no chance to make it work.

cant you make the sceneries freeware then? i mean i paid 25 dollars for most of these sceneries. i do understand about how old FS2004 and how you guys dont find it doable to continue support it and im ok with that but you still have an option to keep old customers happy.

The Add-on Manager should work now, so maybe try installing it now.

redownloaded from website, installed, open the sim. sim crashes. so, i isolated bglman.dll inside the modules folder and it works, the sim does load but i cant register because bglman_fsdt.dat is missing . i tried the other 2 dats and the sim does load too, so whats crashing the sim is ---bglman_fsdt.dat----
