Installation ZurichX 1.3 messed up - Solved
« on: January 20, 2008, 02:12:21 am »
Setting:
Micrsosoft FSX on Windows XP Service Pack 2
Add-Ons: MyTrafficX, aerosoft Inselhüpfen, VFR Germany West, aerosoft HelgolandX

History:
Installed ZurichX 1.2 - worked
Bought ZurichX 1.2 - worked. AddOn manager in menue and buidlings looked fine.
Installed Zurich 1.3 - installation failed with:

Internal error: Expression error 'Runtime Error (at 30:1065): Out of range .'

After instaaltion no add on manager visisble via menue and no buidlings visible.

Actions taken so far:
- Reinstalled ZurichX 1.3 serveral times without success
- Installed Addon manager only installation files (from this forum)
- Installed C++ runtime library files from Micrsosoft

No success so far.
Can you help or probably supply the 1.2 version of ZurichX again?

Thanks
Falk

Hi,

thanks for you quick response.

I would really like to send you the files, but:

- your eMail-adress is hidden
- I have no dll.xml in my fsx root directory (even though I am sure, there has been a very basic version with only a header and a footer a couple of hours ago).

Therefore, I have created one and filled it with:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
  <Descr>Launch</Descr>
  <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Addon Manager</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>bglmanx.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Nver the less, it does not work - no AddOn manager visible. Even after having tried installing ZurichX 1.3 another time with this dll.xml.

If you could let me know your eMail adress I'll be happy to send you the files.

Thanks
Falk

Update:

I have now modified the "right" dll.xml (the one in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX) with the same content as above. It works!

I haven't tried a new installtion though ...

Thanks for supporting

Falk

p.s.:

here ist the content of the dll.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
  <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Addon Manager</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>bglmanx.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>
