Under standard PBR rules, any material will either Emit light or not so, the only objects that are supposed to shine light by themselves, should be light sources or computer monitor screens, etc.
If an object is not emitting, it means it's reflecting light (with variable amounts and results depending on its other properties like roughness or metallicity) and to do that, there must be at least one light source. Since at night, the sun is not there and moonlight is usually weak, the only light source inside an airplane cabin would be an eventual dynamic light system provided by the aircraft. If it's not there, the effect would be exactly as you would expect in real life if you walked into a completely dark room.
Now, the cabin at night doesn't look dark, but that's because it must have some kind of emissive property, baked into the textures. Those can't project light on other objects, you need a dynamic light to do that.
